SINO History

1985

Guangzhou Patent Office,the predecessor of SINO, was established as the earliest state-owned agency dedicated to patent services in China.

1992

Guangzhou Patent Office moved from Lianxin Road to Cangbian Road Guangzhou, adjacent to the Guangzhou Intermediate People's Court.

1995

Guangzhou Patent Office won the honors of "National Advanced Agency for Patent Work" and "Guangzhou Advanced Entity for Patent Work".

2001

Guangzhou Patent Office was restructured into "Guangzhou SINO Patent and Trademark Agent Co., Ltd.".

2003

SINO's first branch office,Xinhui office, was established in Xinhui District, Jiangmen. The Xinhui office was registered as a filiale in 2017.

2004

SINO won the honor of "Guangdong Intellectual Property Quality Service Institution ".

2005

SINO's headquaters moved from Cangbian Road to Yuexiu Mountain Stadium Complex, Guangzhou, while the 20thanniversary celebration were held.

2010

SINO become "Guangdong Intellectual Property Enforcement Assistance Institution".

2012

Guangdong Mengrui Law Firm, being associated with SINO, was established to provide the clients with more comprehensive intellectual property legal services.

From 2013 to 2018

SINO successively established Foshan Shunde Branch, Foshan Gaoming Branch, Guangzhou Science Park Branch and Zhanjiang Branch in Guangdong Province.

2015

SINO was designated as the “Intellectual Property Analysis and Evaluation Service Demonstration Creation Institution” by the State Intellectual Property Office.

2018

SINO become the "National Intellectual Property Service Brand Cultivation Institution" and was awarded by the Guangdong Intellectual Property Office due toSINO outstanding contribution to the patent agency industry in Guangdong.

2019

SINO was elected as the vice-president of the fifth Guangdong Patent Agents Association and was also elected as a board member of All-China Patent Attorneys Association.

2020

SINO’s 35th anniversary celebration was held and has determined SINO’s ambitious development goal of becoming a “Century-old Famous IP Institution” and reorganized the company’s corporate culture and development strategy.

2021

SINO was elected as the vice-president of the 4th Guangdong Intellectual Property Protection Association. SINO established its first branch office, Qingdao branch office, outside Guangdong province.

2023

SINO was elected again as the vice-president of the 6thGuangdong Patent Agents Association.
